Hello all,
I am looking to produce a bladder by welding two pieces of TPU backed nylon. This is a DIY project, and pricey machinery (5k+) is not in the budget. My current plan is to build a simple CNC machine, for pattern control, and attach a heating element to create seam welds. Any advice on what I should look out for when working with TPU? Alternative, I was thinking that attached a laser would allow for a more precise weld. However, I don't know how to go about selecting the right laser module for the job. The laminate is 70D Nylon with TPU backing and DWR (HS LD439-S70030) by Brookwood.
Thank you!
