Hi Folks,
Have a small problem at work. The mechanics use weldless eyenuts normally used for pipe hangers as rigging eyenuts as well. I told them that they are more than likely made to different standards and their uses should not be mixed up. They only stock weldless eyenuts in their stores right now.
I have seen the eyenuts in a Crosby rigging catalog, but they do not quote a standard. I have also seen eyenuts in a pipe hanger supply catalog, again not quoting any standards.
The main physical difference that I know is that the bottom of a rigging eyenut has a larger land machined on the bottom of it.
Anyone know where the codes or standards are for these ?
Regards
Doug
