Hi all!

On one side I have the SolidWorks Toolbox that contains a lot of different sizes of structural profiles that are very interesting and on the other side I have the weldment profiles that are very usefull in a weldment part. Unfortunately there is only a small amount of included weldment profiles so is there a way of using the profiles from the toolbox in a weldment part?

I hope the question make sense!

Patrick,

If you go to the "Design Library" tab in the Task Pane, default on the right side, expand the the "SolidWorks Content" item, click on the "Weldment" item. (see attached)

You will find nine items that you can download which contain many profiles to work with the weldment function.

Unzip the downloaded file into the following default location "C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\data\weldment profiles".

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks Drafting Man

15 minutes after I posted this I found out some info about the solidworks content. That's exactly what I needed.

Cheers
