Weldment

Hi all,
This may be a stupid question but I am relatively new to making weldments so here goes anyway. I am working on an assembly with many parts and was curious if it was bad practice to have the first page of the drawing just be locations of each part and where they go in the assembly followed by a second page with all the weldment callouts? Im wondering this because it becomes very cluttered if i try fit it all on the main front view. Thanks!

Good drafting is like good writing. You are trying to communicate with someone. Anything you do to enhance clarity is good.

We often have one or two pages of isometric views with balloons and the cutlist.
Then the following pages are the dimensioned welded assembly.
Then followed by individual weldment parts any holes, or machining that needs done.
