"An offshore facility" sets off all sorts of alarm bells. You are going to give us a lot more information than a volume and suction/discharge pressure. The application is 1.6 compression ratios using about 1,000 hp. Is this a new platform that is to be designed, a new source into an existing facility, or a new requirement on an old platform? What is already there?
Sorry, It is 2,400 MCFD, 126 BOPD & 14.8 BWPD going into the separator. The flowline pressure is 95-100 psig and the temperature is 92 F. The wet gas compressor would replace an Eductor and take gas from the separator and boost it up to 150-170 psig in order to get it up to pressure of gas from other wells and then enter into the 1st stage of existing compressors.
One last time. Why are you replacing the "eductor" (it is more likely an "ejector" because it was probably designed for a gas power fluid)? Also, is the requirement for 2.4 MMCF/d or 24 MMCF/d? Finally, do you have available deck space for a 1,000 hp (or 100 hp) compressor?
what type of driver, natural gas engine? Electric from gensets?
I'd guess you need a small footprint and smooth operation (little vibration or coupling forces).
If you have electrial for the 70 or 700 kw, I'd look at a sundyne centrifugal compressor. Other than that, a screw compressor fits the bill as either an electric or gas engine drive.
