Hello,
My company has recently switched to Pro/e 5.0 and I have noticed a large delay ~1second from double clicking on a field or table before the text editor menu will pop-up. This seems to happen on every computer and they are not slow ones by any means. This makes me think it is a results of new features in WF5. But question is does anyone know of a way to reduce this delay, it really upsets me when I use to be able to change multiple values in the time I can change one on this new system.

Thanks

I've noticed the same thing with my system, and I'm not convinced it's the computer itself either.

This drawing mode tabs in wf5 are really annoying, Because of these tabs.....clicking delay happens as I believe n facing the same probs....If any one know to customize these drawing mode tabs like wf4 or wf2 Its much better.I dont know the purpose of putting the tabs...If u want to select table,cell,row....etc u 1st need to go to table tab...while in wf4,wf2 its fraction of second job...

Wait until you get to Creo and all modules use the ribbon interface, not just drafting.

From what I understand, they were trying to make an interface look like what the market was putting out in other office products... so, they followed the "tab" design example. But, it's basically a half-baked idea at this point, so they let loose what they'd finished and presumably are working on finishing the layout for the next release. I don't know for sure, of course, but what I do know is there are no custom config settings for removing or altering these tabs. It looks like you just gotta suck it up and get used to it for now, unfortunately. As with a lot of things with ProE, you're locked into a seemingly illogical and certainly inefficient loop of nonsense to do simple things.
