I have my project herein American Samoa, I am now designing a Pre-cast concrete slab and beam. My question is How to determine the psi of existing piles, job'

i'm virgilio villacorta bs civil engineering. i'll been work assupervisingengineer on horizontal and vertical project morethan 18 yrs.

I would recommend performing a pile test. It will determine the capacity of the pile that was installed. If you can find the pile test report, then that will provide you with the answers you are looking for. The report will say that the pile was driven to say, 10 Ton capacity. Lacking that information, or drawings that shows the pile capacities and location, you don't really know what you are working with without a pile test, or pull test.
