Thank you for the answer. But i dont think it stands for "each" , since other items in the drawing has descriptions like: 30x4 PL lengt 300, where PL stands for "plate or sheet metal" so i think this is something similiar. Like extruded or something, well i dont know :)

Sometimes it helps to (1) scan a bit of the drawing so others can see the abbreviation in context, (2) go back to the owner of the drawing and ask.

Otherwise, all we can do is guess.

In some cases (Architecture for instance) EA stands for Equal Angle.

I wouldn't normally chime in on a post like this, but no one has made the recommendation that you contact drawing supplier and ask. I imagine that would be the most direct and least time consuming route. I know because anytime I send drawings out that have something that cannot be easily understood the supplier that I sent it to has no problem whatsoever in asking and I'm always glad when they call and ask. It shows they're taking it seriously and paying attention to detail.

What sort of item is it? Is it a piece of angle? That could mean "equal angle", i.e., equal length or equal leg, thus the description could mean calling for:

a piece of angle, 30mm leg x 30mm leg, 3mm leg thickness, 165mm Long

Clyde and tr1ntx are correct. If it is an angle section, it's equal angle. This terminology is used in Australia and I suspect in Europe.

Thank you guys, its equal angle, and the drawing is from Australia.
I didnt call and ask the drawer because it wasnt that important, I just wondered.
Thanks again.
