About a year ago, the nano emissive display got quite a bit of press.
In case you didn't hear, Motorola found a way to grow aligned nano-tubes on a substrate at relatively low temperatures. These tubes can be used as millions of tiny electron guns, firing at phosphers like a tube TV. The long and the short of it is they hoped to bring a flat panel plasma-like TV to the market for the cost of a tube TV. They said they may even be able to start in a year.
Well, that was a year ago, and while I didn't expect these things to be in production already, I'm very suprised that i haven't even HEARD anything about them for quite some time. Does anybody know what is up with these things?
