I am reading about the purification system of the Heat Tranport System of a CANDU reactor and I keep seeing a reference of "LiOD"
It is the addition of Lithium from the IX columns to the D2O to control the PH at around 10

Does LiOD simply mean Lithium + Oxygen + Deturium ?

Thanks in advance

I was able to get an answer from one of the lab rats at work.
It is Lithium and Oxygen and Deturium
Thanks

LiOD = lithium deuteroxide (or deuterated lithium hydroxide).

Lithium hydroxide with deuterium (heavy hydrogen) instead of normal hydrogen.
