When speaking of a refrigeration plant capacity, what is meant by "kw prime mover" ? Can you directly translate the hp of the compressors to kw prime mover?

1 kilowatt = 1.3410220897 HP

dcasto,
Thanks for the reply. Would your statement apply to the following description (taken off an installation permit application):
"Plant capacity is the sum of the Prime Mover nameplate ratings connected on the refrigerant side."
As far as refrig plants go, could I simply take the hp of the compressor's elect motors, use the above equation, and come up with the answer described in that quote from the application?
I seem to recall someone explaining to me there is a difference between "elect prime mover" and "refrig prime mover". Again, thanks for your help.
