what is "the skin is pocketed above lap joint"?

In boeing 737cl srm 53-00-01 allowable damage1,
notes Y, it says "if the skin is pocketed above the lap joint,......" I don't sure the meaning of "pocket",and what is the "pocketed skin" above the lap joint?
what is "the skin is not pocketed above the lap joint?

Sorry, thought you meant 1988 version.

"Pocket" must refer to a (probably rectangular) reduced thickness area in the skin (formed either by chem or mechanical milling).
