I know that hydrojetting can be more broad in its application. But is there a difference between the two when it comes to piping? If so, how does one decide which to use?

Doesn't look like it.

With any cleaning system it's all about the experience and competence of the operators

Hydrojetting:
This is primarily used for cleaning surfaces, such as removing dirt, debris, or scale from pipes, tanks, or surfaces. It relies on high-pressure water jets to clean and scour surfaces.

Hydromilling:
This is used for cutting or removing materials, particularly concrete or asphalt. It's a more aggressive process that involves the use of high-pressure water to cut remove layers of materials.

In summary, while both hydrojetting and hydromilling use high-pressure water, they serve different purposes and are used in distinct applications. Hydrojetting is more about cleaning and descaling, while hydromilling is focused on cutting and removing materials, especially concrete and asphalt. The choice between the two methods depends on the specific requirements of the task at hand.
