I graduated in MS. Industrial engineer for a while and I also have B. Eng in Chemical engineer. I would like to pursue my career in this industry as Engineering . However, I am not sure what position I should be looking for based on my qualification. Moreover, I always did a bad job in interveiw process. Please give me some advice to make me get more chance to get the job in semiconductor industry. Thank you

> As for jobs, you should look up Semiconductor International, IEEE Transactions, etc., in the school library to get an idea of what sorts of things go on the industry. Pay particular attention to the ads and job listings as well.

> Your question, sadly, is backwards. WHAT do YOU want to do? I could recommend ditchdigging and you'd probably hate it. Sounds like the issue is that you have no clue what you want to be when you grow up. Figure that out first; what will make you get out of bed to go to work 30 yrs from now?

> If you can't figure out that, then at least, figure out something that you'd be willing to get out of bed for.

> Why are you even looking in semiconductors if you really have no interest in them?

Thank you for your tips, however, don't get me wrong about my question. I would like to work in Semiconductor industry because I have an intern with Sony before. I know I would like to pursue my career in the industry. I just wonder about the position available for me. Because I have two degree, Industrial & Chemical,I wonder whether there is specific position for my qualification in this industry or not.

If that's your concern, I think you're getting too hung up on it. If anything, I'd be concerned that you're OVERqualified and that HR people might feel that you'll want more compensation than the positions might call for.

Your internship probably carries more weight than whether you have two degrees or one.
