The plastic must have these qualities: must stand up to wear and tear (at least as well or close to that of UHMW-PE)
Must slide very fast/ have a low co-efficient of friction.
This material will be used as a wear strip and will be constantly "grinded" or slid across concrete and/or metal.

Ive heard UHMW is a good product so is zytel, I would just like to know some other possibilities, thank you for your input.

Zytel is nylon.
The choices are PTFE, Thermoplastic Flurocarbons, Nylons (Zytel is only one of many), Various Polyethylenes, Polypropylene, Acetal, Polyesters, Polyurethanes, and various reinforced and modified versions of these.

The best choice really depends one hell of a lot on the conditions of use. Much more detail re speed, pressure, lubrication, cooling, wether clean or dirty, duration of exposure, and duration of non exposure, smoothness of surfaces, wether constant or variable, and if variable, between what extremes, and at what average.
If you have already done tests, what was the mode of failure Regards
