Quoting a job without the requisite information is a guarantee for failure.

ISO 2338 Parallel pins, of unhardened steel and austenitic stainless steel covers both ferritic steel and austenitic stainless steel. It does not specify a composition for ferritic steel, but for the austenitic stainless steel it lists A1 according to ISO 3506-1 Mechanical properties of corrosion resistant stainless-steel fasteners - Part 1: Bolts, screws and studs . It has requirements beyond the chemical composition: diameter and length tolerances, surface finish and roughness, and acceptance inspection. You should spend CHF42,00 and obtain this document.

Cory

Thank you. I guess I will break down and put out the 42.00 and hope it pays off.

jessmo,

Look on the bright side-- using today's exchange rate, 42.00 CHF = 38.2793 USD. [shadeshappy]
