...got a question concerning the "proper" technical names for the 'intermediate' results derived in the following equation used to describe vacuum tube power conditions:
PWR = (Idc + Iac)*(Vdc - Vac)
where:
Idc = 0.058A at idle
Iac = 0.210A(rms) at maximum power
Vdc = 450Vdc at idle
Vac = 261.9V(rms) at maximum power
...I know what the 'inner' and 'outer' products are called:
PWR.q = (Idc*Vdc) = (0.058Adc*450Vdc) = 26.1W at idle, or quiescent power.
PWR.m = (Iac*Vac) = (0.210Aac*-261.9Vac) = -55.0W(avg) at maximum power, or output power (hence "-" sign).
...but, what are the technical names of the two intermediate "cross products," ie:
??? = (Vdc*Iac) = (450Vdc*0.210Aac) = 94.5W ...???
??? = (-Vac*Idc) = (-261.9Vac*0.058Adc) = -15.2W ...???
...finally, what's the 'proper' name for the summation of these two cross products, ie:
??? = (Vdc*Iac)+(-Vac*Idc) = (94.5W-15.2W)= 79.3W...???
...although the -15.2W value would seem to be an "output" power (due to its "-" sign), the textbook "tube dissipation" value stated is 18.2W, which makes me think it's actually something else?!?
