I'm looking for a toothed locking device for a machine I'm building. I realize that my description is not very good, so please educate me on the correct terms for this part.
It is basically a flat washer with teeth on one side. The flat side will be welded or glued to a component. Two of the devices will fit together to lock the positional relationship of their component ends. The teeth will also prevent the ends from slipping under torque, and they will provide an easy way to fix multiple parts at the same angle.
I've seen the devices in use for bicycle seat adjustment and also on snare drum stands.
Thanks for any help,
Matthew
