I was just wondering how often do you Log on to Eng Tips.com.
I was looking at one members profile which detailed over 4,000 log on's in less than 5 years, or an ave 11 Log-Ins
a day.
When do you Log on at work or at home?

If you log-in at work is it ethical,or are you wasting your employers time and money?

I'm here most of the time. I "pay" for it out of my advertising budget. I have even gotten work from people contacting me outside eng-tips about posts in the technical fora.

Also, when I'm heads down working on a problem, I bounce over here a every couple of hours to knock some of the fuzz off of my focus. 4-5 minutes here really helps me avoid dumb bunny trails in my real job.

Rats, I've been found out! ;-)

Luckily (???), I log in on weekends too, so the average is only 7.7 per calendar day.

Generally once a day for me with my first mug of coffee. [morning]

How many times do you discuss work with your colleagues? Do people wait until lunch to discuss work in case the boss sees them? I see no difference in logging on to this site except that you have 360,000 colleagues. Do it during work time by all means.

Who'da ever guesed? Per my profile:
I've been a member since May 28, 2003, and have logged in 776 times. I last logged in on Fri, Apr 22, 2005, and since joining have started 9 threads, posted 205 replies, and written 0 Faqs.

That only equals 1.07 logins per day, which is WAAAAY off! I am constantly checking in. I count it as my "cigarette break"...and my sanity break...and Continuing Ed. Are those lame excuses? OK, fine, I do it because I like to. Almost always at work, rarely at home.

P.S

Has the members profile crashed? It those not seem to be registering the number of replies I've made.

Road, for some reason, the number does not register correctly at first - it does register correctly after a while.
