I'm looking for a short length (10-12") of DWV copper pipe, 6" ID preferable, 5" is acceptable, in Atlanta. I can't find anyone selling this online.

Thanks,

You might have to step away from your computer for a few minutes to find a telephone.

The problem is that I'm an optical engineer and I don't quite know who to call that can help me. That's why I'm asking for assistance.

I think he's asking you to find a supplier who deals in copper pipe, and call them directly asking what you're looking for. You'd be suprised what's not put online and into catalogs.

CEV,
How many pieces and to what specs? "DWV" tells me this is not precision work and if the quantity is low, sheet rolled and welded into a tube might work.
