Well, thanks, my colleagues . . . Yes, I was on vacation. Had a wonderful 5 days in Bali; saw one of our inspectors get married in a traditional Balinese wedding - it was especially different in that they wheeled him in - and it took three guys to "hold him up"!! I thought, hmmmm, wobbly knees and second thoughts . . . - Naw - he had dengue fever and they brought him from the hospital for the ceremony. Nice time, though. Met my daughter's new beau - a Norweigian . . . Mmmmm - again.
Then did a lot of reading. Did a whole slew of Dale Brown's books on the megafortress series (excellent techno-military stuff for the air force - B1 bombers flying by remote control - like drones. Also read Michael Chricton's book "State of Fear". It was a good read - lots on climate change, etc.
So now, sadly after Cornell lost to Kentucky - I am back! Just finishing up going through some 425 emails that arrived - I never accessed a computer for the two weeks.
Naw - I stay as far away from mosquitoes as possible. Balinese architecture tends towards "open" houses. When my wife was in Bali babysitting the 17 year old, her bungalow had enclosed bedrooms but the living and cooking areas were totally open - no walls at all on the outside. The bathroom was "half-covered" and "half-open to the sky". In our Thai condo, I enclosed the balconies to keep away from the mosquitoes.
