Dear all,
We are a manufacturer of GSSP (Granules single super phosphate),the environment inside the plant is extremely bad so we took a decision to install a new dedusting system, could any one advice me which one is better & effective for our application?

First: Pulse jet air bag filter.

Second: Wet scrubber system.

Our plant equipments consist of: Belt conveyors , cooler drum , dryer drum, granulation drum, crushers, vibrating screens, hoppers for feeding.

Please advice.

The first thing to look at would be how you can handle the discharge from your dedust operation. Wet filter will give you a slurry/solution of your dust. Bag house will give you a solid of your dust. Where can these streams be sent in your existing process and how much will it cost to get them there.

First thanks for your fast reply, but i want to know which one is effective to decrease dust emissions & easily to be maintained.

Each type has advantages and disadvantages. A wet scrubber is probably more practical because it can handle both wet and dry air streams. Greater contact of the gas and liquid streams also yields higher dust removal efficiency than for a filter bag.

Hygroscopic materials may blind filter bags. Humidity and condensation from steam or water vapor may blind filter bags. Sticky material may adhere to filter bags and plug passages. Where air temperatures exceed 180°F, the options for filter fabrics are somewhat limited.

Methods of waste disposal may impact your decision. Dry materials from filter bags can create secondary dust problems during unloading and disposal that do not occur with wet collectors. Disposal of wet sludge can be an additional problem.
