Which job to say yes to?

I have two job offers pending. Both require a move. Job A is better paying, but is out of my "field of passion" and 800 miles from family. Job B is much lower pay, -20K, but in my "field of passion" and only 50 miles from family.

Is the money worth it?

That is really hard to answer with what little info you provided.
-Do you have your own family? If yes you need to put them first. And this may mean taking the money and putting your dreams on the back burner.
-If you are young consider which job will put you on the career path of your choice. It is harder to do this as you get into a relationship, have kids, etc.
-Distance: I have a lot of experience with this. Once you are about 250 miles away you will only go back a couple of times a year. Anything between 400-3000 miles will require extension travel plans and $$$.
-Have you factored cost of living into the equasion? Extracurricular activities?
-Even if you only work for the better paying company for a couple of years you can put them on your resume and ask for more $$ next time around.

Hope this helped. ISZ

For me this is an easy descision. I would not consider the job away from the family, and I would not consider the job that is out of your "field of passion". I would much rather look foreward to going to work every day than just to look foreward to cashing my paychech once every other week.
Just my $.02.

Thanks for the input Guys...I'm still working on the decision. Right now it looks like the money will win. I have asked for a couple of additions to the lower offer that would make the decision a little easier.

Thanks again. ewalk
