I'm hoping someone out there knows or can point me to sources that identify who the OEMs are for wheels of major auto makers like BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc. Or do some/many produce their own wheels? And how many each manufacturers sells/buys. What are the best market research firms on the auto industry? Thanks so much!

In Australia ROH Steel, ROH Alloy, Castalloy and Ford New Zealand. The FNZ plant has been bought by Castalloy. All of these companies supply some Japanese and American firms as well.

Best bets for info would probably be the SAE mag or Wards.

Enkei has been making alloy wheels for Mazda since at least the early '80s, probably longer. I've never seen a Mazda alloy that didn't say Enkei on the back. Also, Enkei is currently very popular as an aftermarket wheel maker in the sport compact car arena.

Hezz Lemmerz International is one of the OEM which supplies all types of Wheel Rims to most of the Automobile manufacturers.

Hello there!
There's a manufacturer called Superior Industries Inc. ( which is the largest OEM manufacturer of aluminum-alloy wheels in the world.
If you drive any late-model car or SUV from the "three big" it must probably bear Superior Ind's-made wheels.
Check out the link I am sending. See you guys.

Enkei has also supplied wheels to honda, nissan, and GM.
BBS makes wheels for a lot of limited edition, sport option, etc.. cars of all makes.

Alcoa also supplies wheels to the OEM's. They make forged and cast aluminum wheels for autmotive, light truck and heavy truck applications.

SAE International ( has an excellent tool for searching for automotive suppliers:
170 companies matched the search criteria of Chassis (Product Category) and Wheels (Sub-Category).

From Wards Automotive ( supplier directory (embarrassingly incomplete!):
