who the heck manufactured this valve????

got this valve into work today and no one has a clue who makes it. any of you guys recognize it? most likely they don't exist anymore, but whatever information I can get would be awesome. thanks guys!

I spent about three hours yesterday searching the web. I used every stamping on the valve and couldn't come up with anything. I even searched used butterfly valves on ebay and looked through about 1500 valves on ebay, still came up empty handed. I'm wondering whether the company that made it even exists anymore.

I wonder if that was a product of General Twin Seal, now part of Cameron?

The first I thought of is that GTS (here in Europe) was the old abbreviation for malleable cast iron but that does not really help; I know.

TenPenny, general twin seal is the first thing that came to mind but nothing from them has really matched up

I find that with some many buyouts and amalgamations, it's not easy to find anyone who knows anything about old/dropped/obsolete product lines. Your best bet is to see if anyone at Cameron is old enough to recognize older logos and valves.

One reason I like to keep old catalogs - they don't magically disappear when product lines are dropped, whereas websites are often updated and information just vanishes.

You may be looking at the foundry symbol and not a symbol of the manufacturer. I would expect the manufacturers information with the part number and material grade.
