Hi All,

Can anyone tell me this, why is it when I place my toolbars into a position I like. That it is near impossible to get them to dock end to end?

That is, say I want all my chosen toolbar horizontal from the top down. Starting in the first row with a few general ones at the top. Then on the second row my curve toolbars etc etc.

Now my problem is that when you put them end to end from left to right. I frequently get a situation where the toolbar will refuse to sit at the end of the previous toolbar. Like when I put my Form Feature toolbar down then go to put my Edit Feature tolbar at the end of the previous.

It will repeatedly jump to the line above or below sometimes I was able to get lucky. I thought it might have been the way you held and dropped the toolbar.

I believe there must be a answer, is it a) a bug or b) something not set right or c)something I am not doing right.

Quite franky this drives me nuts [mad]

Any and all help would be most appreciated

Best Regards

Dave

You are right. This is a UG glitch, nothing u are doing incorrect. I have called GTAC several times, they still have not corrected the problem. Maybe if u and other people in this forum call, then UGS will correct the problem. Meanwhile there are some helpfull guidlines u could use until they correct the problem.
see thread for temporary fix.

You have to be really carefull docking the toolbars I've had times where each toolbar on 4 separate rows.

I've found sometimes it works dragging above or below the ends of the toolbars or over top mid toolbar. Another method that's worked is to drag the windo near without docking and double clicking it in. IT should not however take as much time as it does a lot of the time.

This is probably info given in feadudes displayed link but I didn't check it out. I will now though.

Have a good weekend away from the UG toolbars.

All,

My solution to the dancing toolbars was to create my own with the stuff in it that I use most often. It is similar in feel to the old v11 modeling and free form tool box. Let me know if you want a sample.

Look for this type of functionality improvement in NX3. I think you will love the new flexibility they have incorporated.
