I have a table which is created in the drawing suing a journal. I have an associative measurement in the master model which I need I want to reference in the drawing, so I use the tool in annotation to create the inter part link to the expression which gives me a piece of text like this <X0.2@drf_0> which allows me to see the expression value as a note on the drawing, but if I copt this and try to paste it in to a cell in the table, the cell remains blank. However if I double click the cell, it shows the tect <X0.2@drf_0> why will the value not display?

Hi Simon,
I guess if you make an expression at the top level assembly using Create Interpart Expression reference and use this expression (by importing it in Note or Table cell) then it should work.Even if you copy it and paste it in a cell.Am i missing your point.

Hi Simon,
Although it looks like a remote possibility but could you please check if (RIGHT CLICK any CELL of the TABLE and choose STYLE.Then if you go to the CELLS tab and check FORMAT ....is it's value set to HIDDEN)

I have sorted it, I needed some other text in the reference instead of just <X0.2@drf_0> I needed <X0.2@"PART/NUMBER_A"::p3>

Cheers

Hi Simon,
I guess that the drf_0 expression is automatically created (it can be checked in the expression list also)the first time you reference an interpart expression.Ideally once created even if you copy it and paste it into a cell it should give you the expression value. So in total when we take the interpart ref from "PART/NUMBER_A"::p3 for the very first time in the Note it would have created an expression drf_0 and when we try to copy and paste this resulting Note value into any other cell it should give the exact value of "PART/NUMBER_A"::p3..
:) Anyways you already have the solution.Have a great day.
