Why doesn't Catia v5 suport .SAT format?

My company uses several CAD programs. We use .sat a lot to go from one CAD system to another. How come Catia v5 does not support SAT. I'm aware of other translations methods (i.e. IGES, STEP,...). I really need to be able to import SAT files to Catia v5.
