I have the next question about LOAD CASES in CAESAR II

Why subtract SUS from OPE?
Why not simply use L3 = T1 (EXP)?

Because the Expansion Case is defined as a range. In order to compute a range you have to subtract two quantities. Furthermore, OPE-SUS will take into account any difference (including boundary condition changes and weight redistribution) between the two cases.

Using L3=T1 is only valid if the system has 100% linear boundary conditions.
