WHY? 1

I can't figure out why?
I happened before when I have to move up & down the history tree.

I just tried to edit the offset, reselect the faces, tweal the dimension, then it worked as its supposed to.

Now I have to modify some features above this offset, and it is doing its weird thing again.

I got it fixed right now but why does it happen?

I can't see your problem but if whatever it is keeps happening it may be less convenient but easier to analyse your problems if you avoid grouping features at least until your certain that you're getting well understood results. It may be that it is just an avoidable level of complexity in cases where you're having problems either with the system or understanding what is going on. I can't say better because on the face of it your images aren't really offering an insight into this problem.

It may be just that we're not seeing something, but if you try again on your own by keeping things simple you have a better chance to solve it yourself.

I have a 30mm offset on the thicken sheet and for some reason when I reach the array, the offset becomes larger. Just the original body, and not the arrayed object which stays the right way.

I have to group the features so I could array them.

There were some features above the thicken sheet, close to the beginning of the history tree that I need to modify. I make them the current feature, do my edit and move back down the history tree.
The sheet itself that I used to thicken does not have any parameters.

In NX-5 you're probably better to use the Instance Geometry feature it is neater and usually more flexible not to mention very reliable. It may not directly answer your question but it may very well solve your problem.

Very sorry but I don't know what would be causing that odd behaviour that you reported.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I usually use instance geometry for mirroring object because mirror is not in the "instance feature" anymore.

Just tried it and it looks good.

Here is something new.
I created a trim using the translucent surfaces, and the result...it creates an offset at the back.

BEFORE TRIM

AFTER TRIM

See that the top surfaces moved!!! The faces used to match the edge of the opening.

I am already using the "Instance Geometry" and this is only an extrude. I do not have any offset for this face.
