Hi,
I have a kit car weighing 720kg, with a 50/50 bias as recorded at SVA. It currently has 16" rims with 195 wide tyres.

These tyres look very thin. The car is a mid engined RWD, with a similar power to weight as the Lotus Exige S1.

My question is "how wide should I go with the tyres?"
Copy the Exige?

We could fit 245 wide but how can i calculate the limit for this scenario?

A number of people have reported wider tires to be faster on slower slalom like tracks, if the engine is not to powerful. So, the use of the car is a big faktor for selecting tire size. This line up with my own experience.
