I have past experience with running CosmosWorks 6.0 with SW2001, SW2002, SW2003, SW2004, and SW2005. When CosmosWorks 2006 Professional came out we finally upgraded.

Now when I started installing SW 2008, the compatibility checker said that some Cosmos 2006 module wasn't compatible.

Anybody know if I'm going to have a problem running Cosmos 2006 Pro from inside of SW2008?

Thank you,

Tim

You must test it to have conclusions.

Some years ago I used to run Cosmos in earlier versions than Solidworks, with no problem. But never received a message like you mention.

Are you installing Solidworks over Cosmos? Try to uninstall Cosmos and reinstall it after Solidworks.

Good Luck

Thanks for your reply.

I had several "professional" customer service guys looking into this and it turns out the incompatibility is designed into SW2008. We went ahead and bit the bullet for the upgrade to COSMOSWorks 2008 Pro.
