I'm wondering about Zone 2 (edge) vs. Zone 3 (corner) for re-entrant corners and angled corners. See attachment in link.

There is definitely no zone 3 at the reentrant corner. I would treat the 135 degree corner to the left as a corner but not the other. Think "which "corners" are true outside corners".

Thanks spats. Does ASCE Wind Design Guide or any other official publication comment on this...that you know of?

I would treat both outside corners as Zone 3.

I don't use ASCE for design however the design code I do use is roughly the same. I would only apply a zone 3 pressure to the extent of roof which is adjacent to both a windward and sidewall edge. I do not think this is the case for the 135deg corner or the re-entrant corner.

The re-entrant condition is not a corner. The two 135 deg conditions are both corners as you have to consider wind from different directions.

This is one of many conditions not addressed by ASCE7. In my opinion we are left with no option but to use the heavier loading.
