Does OBC/NBCC clearly define how to apply wind on open structures? I normally follow ASCE 7 provisions (specifically Wind Load for Petrochemical and Other Industrial Facilities" book) when following the US code. But not quite sure on the Canadian code.

Do I have to convert the wind speed from NBCC to ASCE and apply the ASCE provisions as usual? or is there a simpler way?
