I'm designing an exterior wall with metal panels at the edge of a property line. The wall for the building next to it is taller and is also only 2 ft - 3 ft away. Since there is so little room between the walls, how should the wind loads be accounted for in my wall? It doesn't see the full exterior wind load, but I'm skeptical in calling it an interior wall. Any suggestions for this? Are there references to this in ASCE or IBC?
Also, on a related note, if the wall is indeed designed with a lower load, and the adjacent building is demolished for whatever reason in the future, how does that affect my design? I more than likely won't know what's going on with the adjacent building after everything has been constructed.
