wind on golf range canopy

looking for guidance for determining wind loading for golf driving range, ie, a long narrow building, fully open at front. could there be negative pressure beneath the mono pitch canopy roof

If by negative pressure you mean uplift, the answer is yes.

Yep, sounds like partially enclosed, usually the worse case of all time for uplift :)
 
Yes, it will definitely have uplift. I saw a moveable canopy at a driving range that had been flipped over during a wind storm. Apparently the manufacturer had been making these for about 50 years, and this one was the 2nd one to flip over.
 
You might want to search for previous threads on overhangs/canopies. There have been several in the last year or so. Design is covered by ASCE-7-05 section 6.5.11.4.
