what winding configuration of generator step-up transformer is most used in North America when generator is connected to LDC feeder?
delta on HV side or delta on LV side?

I found some threads that are useful but can't read it because there is no "left and right scroll" in the bottom og the page. So text is cut off. Have you been able to fix this?
example is Feb 2006 thread named:" Advantages and Disadvantages of Delta-Wye and Wye Delta ... )

Generator transformer is almost always delta on the generator side and wye on the system side.

Generator transformers are mainly delta connected on primary (for reduced phase currents and easier winding manufacture) and wye connected on secondary (for reduced phase voltage with resultant less stringent insulation requirement).

Edison123, sorry
What do you mean primary and secondary in step up trnsformer?
Ppay, I agree with David.

Primary is always defined as the one that receives the supply. In this case, it is the generator side.

O.K. Edison123.
Thnaks , we talk about same.
I ask only for to be sure, not for check you :)

I agree with edison123.If a transformer with reduce insulation is involved the High Voltage Y winding has
to be solid grounded.
