Windows installer

I have this problem surface a few weeks ago: everytime I start SW the windows installer kicks in to reconfigure SW. I then have to cancel out windows installer about 6 times before I enter SW. Anytips on how to eliminate this annoying step? Thanks for the help.

SW '04 SP 4.0
WIN 2000 SP 4

Maybe try updating to 4.1

SP 4.2 is the latest one out. Just came out yesterday.
