Odd problem, no idea if it's due to a windows update, that the only thing I can see at this point. When I start autocad, it puts it in one place on the monitor, at a specific size. If I resize it, or move it, and close... then restart.... it goes back to what it was before. JUST started doing this today. Autocad is the only program that does this. Everything else remembers the resized windows.

Any ideas? Driving me batty at this point.

What version of Autocad and what version of Windows? I believe that was a known problem with XPSP1, but, maybe it was fixed with SP2? I'm not certain. Narrowing down the releases involved could help suss out the solution.

Acad 2015 vanilla, with SP2 installed.

Are you running more than 1 monitor? I believe it remembers size/position on the primary monitor, but won't on a secondary screen, for some reason.

Windows 7 64, sp1.

Pin, (sorry for the delayed response, kind of found a work-around, then forgot I'd asked this) yes, running 2 monitors.

As fun as it sounds, and it was..... set screen resolution to max, and maximize windows.... then close everything down, and reboot into safe mode.... start program again, and windows are all over, shrink to something unpleasant, then restart and boot normal, start program, and stretch windows bigger... can't use maximize, or snap, etc.

Seems to work for a while then... until it doesn't, then wash, rinse, and repeat....

It sounds as though you have a file that should no longer exist. Have you tried running a registry cleaning program such as Glary utilities or similar.
The fact that you fix it and it re appears sounds like it is residing in your registry.

You are judged not by what you know, but by what you can do.
