Hi, can anyone help me solve the problem in the file I've attached? Is my frictional contact wrong?

It seems the model has rigid body motion. One possible reason is because contact is not detected. Please
provide more info about the model (boundary conditions, loading, material model, contact definitions). Also
if both the geometry and loading are axisymmetric, you can use axisymmetric modelling, thus reducing solver
time.

Where does the wire start? Is the plot the initial geometry or have you started the analysis? Try modelling the front of the wire with a transition zone to start the drawing process gradually. I assume the wire is a plastic material like BISO. I think your mesh on the wire is much too coarse. LK's advice about an asymmetric model is a good one. your draw ration looks very aggressive. Also, you are pulling the wire through and not trying to push it, right?
