I was trying to test reinforced wire mesh on point load . I modelled the rebar as wire element and assigned it as beam section . I applied tie constraint on horizontal and vertical rebars. The load is only transferred to the applied wire and it is not transferred to adjacent wire. what is the problem?

It would be better to use contact between the rebars (general contact is the best option) or, if they are all bonded, model them as a single part.

I used contact for both rebar. The answer seems incorrect, what might be the reason? Shouldn't there be more stress at the middle wire where the load is applied ?

Visualize the beam cross-sections and carefully check the deformed shape and contact outputs. Also, try with the wires merged into a single part.
