Does anyone have the A*E properties and weight for 7-19 wire rope or the area, weight and the E values for same? I'm looking for 1/2" dia to 1" dia for an Smath program

Check out this engineering guide by US Steel. It's an older manual, but there is a wealth of information in it.

They even have sample calculations and the statics of common setups.

There is a big difference between regular old wire rope and prestressing strands with Fy - 270 ksi. Which are you asking about?

PEinc... Wire rope, not prestressing cable... I think the contractor is opting for a 'tie-off' cable, not a 'cable guard'...

Joel... your reference has good information about the equivalent Young's modulus for different wire rope types...
