Hello everybody!
I have a question. What programs do you use to calculate wooden structures? For example, such as a three-hinged arch made of glulam?

You may use any structural analysis program to generate reactions and internal stresses. However, there must have a wood design package that will perform both analysis and design tasks.

I understand this. I wanted to hear the names of the programs that implement this in the most convenient way. For example, I set the frame , set the material (which is already packed into the program ), applied loads, and after analyzing the program gave me the optimal cross sections, stresses and deflections. It would also be good if it was a certified program that does not raise questions from the state expertise.

1) Woodworks and RISA are two separate software offerings.

2) Woodworks does a lot of great things but I do not believe that it has the capability of designing a three hinged glulam arch.

3) RISA a very wood friendly, full purpose FEM software package but I also do not believe that it can design a three hinged glulam arch. It could certainly be used to model and analyze one thought.

4) To my knowledge, states don't certify programs and ought to be happy to receive your analysis and calculations regardless of the tools you choose to use so long as your analysis is correct and your documentation clear. That said, I do acknowledge that some state review groups have free access to software packages like Enercalc etc and, as such, work done using those programs may be somewhat more smoothly processed.

I have no direct experience with it but some of my Woodie friends have reported good experiences with Dlubal.

Yes, I can confirm. Dlubal RSTAB or RFEM with design timber modules.
