Do you mean the work procedure for building it or the work procedure for drilling a hole with it after it's been built?

hi drillernic, I mean the work procedure for drilling a hole with it after it's been built, because some equipment I have never tough, so I don't know what the function of it, also and some piping system.

Thanks!

Will give you a pretty basic overview of the drilling process, and the functions of the variuos systems on the drill rig.

What you can read there is modified for jackup operations, becasue obviously, a jackup is offshore...so instead of preparing the site etc, the Jackup will be posiitoned, the legs jacked down and so on.

Then there are two things that can happen, depending upon whether the Jackup is operating over a small platform, (in which case, things are pretty much like land well operations), or if the jackup is in the middle of the open sea, in which case:

The conductor pipe will be run, either into a hole drilled by the jackuop or driven into place, or jetted in.

The on top of that a light weight wellhead is run to the sea bed, called a Mudline Suspension System, to take the weight of the casings below it, and a separate set of pipes called a riser run from the Mudline Suspension System to the base of the Jackup where the BOPs are installed. THis system allows the jackup to leave the well safely if necessary, with all the casing hung off at the seabed etc when everything's finished.

Then at the end of the well, a set of valves to control the well called a Christmas tree is installed, and the jack up leaves, or teh well is made safe, a platfrom installed over teh well, and then (often some time later) the well is tied back form the mudline suspension system to a christmas tree installed on the platform.

hi drillernic:

I am appreicate for you infromation, that is I want,
it is very detail for a concept for oil drilling!
