Hello all,

I would like to know what are the recommended workstation hardware for FEA PC.
The software in use is SOLIDWORKS Simulation (including the non-linear module).
The results plots most be in "discrete" and it's required good GPU.

Can you please advise the best GPU, CPU, How much RAM, SSD, etc.

Thanks

more RAM, good graphics card. SolidWorks should be able to advise on minimum equipment.

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?

Best to buy a computer that can take more RAM than you can afford. Cheaper and faster to add more later than start a search for another computer if you run out.

Hi all, thanks for the help.

I do static analysis, linear and nonlinear.
per ASME VIII-2.

It will be great if you can advise specific spec.like: which CPU, how much RAM, which GPU

This is one of my desktops... the one I use about 80% of the time:

Some good info... my RAM latency is poor, but the best chips I could source at the time... also 16 GB RAM is the 'sweet spot' for nearly everything... you have to be careful about your Windows OS since some versions do not support large amounts of RAM. My system is liquid cooled Kraken CPU cooler.
