working in explicit

i work in abaqus,i simulate wire compacting,i should work in quasi-static,i want know if i can use force or velocity if i use abaqus explicit...

if i use force in abaqus explicit,it will generate a lot of energy,and in explicit i should control energy...to still in quasi-static,i want now how i can control the force...?
