Your help is required for a WPS in which The PQR is qualified for P- No. 1 Group 1 to P- No. 1. Group 1 on the materials A106 Grade B. Now contractor want to utilize it for API 5L x60 to API 5L x60. This WPS applicable to Non- sour and Non- Impact applications. can this WPS applicable to weld API 5L X60 to API 5L X60 or API 5L X60 to other material belong to P- No. 1 Group 1 & 2 .• As per ASME Sec. IX Table QW/QB- 422, API 5L X60 fall under P- No. 1 Group No. 2

The reason it is yes...if you look at the variables for each process the base material P# is an essential variable, while group # is supplementary. If impacts were involved you would need to be the same P# and Group#.
