I Have a wps for P1-P1 Plate with a thickness range form .187"-8" that requires stress relief to ASME VIII. Can i uses this wps to weld .5" plate that does not require stress relief? Or do in need a seprate wps for this lower thickness that does not require stress relief?

You must requalify a WPS without (no) PWHT per QW-407.1 and QW-253, -254, -255, etc.

You need to requalify without PWHT as AWS D1.1 also.
