Hi everyone.
I want to know why the Primer(Epoxy)will be applied after Surface Preparation (and before Wrapping)? What is it used for? And how long after surface preparation, the primer should be applied?
Thank you.

A primer serves two main purposes:

- it is an ant-corrosion layer
- it increases the adhesion of subsequent coats to the substrate

The primer needs to be applied before the prepared surface has deteriorated; ideally this would be as soon as possible after completion of surface preparation. The available time to apply the primer is dependent upon environmental conditions at the time: humid, dusty conditions mean that the prepared surface will degrade more quickly than in cool, dry conditions.
