Hi all,
Do we need to include weld-leg size in calculating 'c1' & 'c2' values (rectangular attachment)?
If I have a rectangular attachment of L=5" and W=3" with a weld-leg size of 0.25". Which one is correct below?
Method-A:
c1 = 3/2 = 1.5"
c2 = 5/2 = 2.5"
Method-B:
c1 = 3/2 + 0.25 = 1.75"
c2 = 5/2 + 0.25 = 2.75"
Similarly, what will be the case in the circular attachment? Does 'Ro' value include weld-leg size?
I have found Codeware-Compress including weld-leg size for rectangular attachment and not using in circular attachment.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
